Frankham Consultancy Group is a leading design and building consultancy established in 1982, based in Kent, in the UK. Frankham’s IT Director, Andy White, is responsible for the IT department and has worked in the business for 20 years holding several positions, progressing to his current role in January 2021. Andy faced a series of IT challenges which meant he needed to review Frankham’s data management approach.

The Challenge

The rapid expansion of Frankham’s business operations resulted in a surge in data volume and complexity and traditional backup methods struggled to cope with their evolving data landscape. Also, like many other companies, Frankham was facing heightened data security concerns. With the threat of cyber attacks and ransomware looming larger, they urgently needed a robust solution to secure their critical data to ensure a swift recovery in case of an incident. Further to this, their existing on-premises infrastructure was reaching its limits, causing performance bottlenecks and raising concerns about scalability for future growth. This in turn drastically reduced their recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs), as well as reducing the daily management and monitoring of backups. They have bolstered their defences against ransomware threats, gaining the confidence that with the native immutable backup Rubrik provides, they can now recover a clean, uncompromised copy of their data, four times faster than their previous solution in the event of a cyber or ransomware attack.
