Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Assured Data Protection (“Assured”, “we” or “us”) collects, uses and discloses information, and what choices you have with respect to the information relating to you. The policy was last modified on and is effective as of July 2, 2025.
Assured prioritizes the privacy of its customers, partners, and service users. When we refer to “Personal Information” or “Personal Data” in this Privacy Policy, we mean information that identifies, or which could reasonably be used to identify, an individual.
In this Privacy Policy, we provide information about how we collect, use and transfer Personal Information about any user or visitor (“you”) of our websites, mobile applications and online services (“Services”) where these services directly link to this policy. The policy, also, describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your Personal Information and how you can access and update this information.

Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to Assured’s products and Services, Assured’s website (https://assured-dp.com/) and other communication you may have with us.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party products, services or partnering businesses. In addition, a separate agreement governs delivery, access, and use of our services (known as “Terms of Service”), including the processing of submitted services data (data submitted through our services).
What Personal Information Do We Collect?
Assured collects various types of Personal Information to provide customers with the Services. Those are as follows:
- Contact and Request Information: We collect Personal Information that allows us to be in contact with you, such as name, email address, phone number and address, and other Personal Information that you voluntarily provide to us when you contact us with a question, comment or request in relation to our products and services
- Account Information: If you create an account on one of our Services, we collect your first name, last name, company, address, telephone number, email address, user identifier, and password. We, also, collect information about your usage of our Services in association with your account, namely, your account preferences, which features of the Services you use and for how long, as well as any requests or orders made via your account
- Website Usage Information: When you access our website, we automatically collect your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address and other technical information about your computer and website usage, namely, your browser type and version, internet service provider, time zone setting, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamps and/or clickstream data. We, also, use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website
- Public Information about You: If you have identified yourself to us as a user of our Services and expressed interest in our products or services, we may collect Personal Information about you from publicly available sources, namely, your company, contact information, preferences and demographic information. These publicly available sources include public profiles on company websites and professional networking
How Do We Use Your Personal Information?
We use your Personal Information to provide and optimize our products and services. In particular, we use:
- Contact and Request Information to respond to your comments, questions and requests, and provide you with any product documentation or whitepapers you request. As permitted by applicable law, with your consent where required, we may use your contact information to provide you with marketing communications, promotional offers and updates on new services and benefits
- Account Information to manage your account, communicate with you in relation to your account, keep track of billing and invoicing, personalize our Services for you, provide you with customer service, product updates and warranty information, and monitor the performance of our Services
- Website Information to monitor the performance of our websites and mobile applications, analyze trends, usage and activities in connection with our website, and ensure their technological compatibility with users. We, also, use website information for retargeting and advertising purposes, where permitted by applicable law
- Public Information about you in connection with other Personal Information we may have about you to personalize our Services and communications for you and identify products and services that we believe may be of interest to you or your business
We, also, use your Personal Information, as necessary, to comply with our legal and contractual obligations and to protect our legal interests, such as in the event of a complaint or dispute.
If Information is aggregated or de-identified so that it is no longer reasonably associated with an identified or identifiable natural person, Assured may use it for any business purpose. To the extent Information is associated with an identified or identifiable natural person and is protected as personal data under applicable data protection law, it is referred to in this Privacy Policy as “Personal Data.”
What Personal Information Do We Disclose?
Assured will not disclose your Personal Data to third parties, except in the following circumstances, in accordance with applicable laws, and with your consent:
- To Assured’s service providers, who act on Assured’s behalf and instructions to fulfil product orders, deliver services, provide IT support and security services, and fulfil the other purposes set forth above
- To other Assured-owned business entities for the purposes of coordinating our global enterprise’s provision and development of products and services
- As required by applicable law, including, without limitation, in response to any government or regulatory agency request, to cooperate with law enforcement investigations, or upon receipt of any court order
- To a prospective or actual purchaser or seller in the context of a merger, acquisition or other re-organization or sale of Assured’s business or assets. Assured’s practice is to seek appropriate protection for information in these types of transactions. Assured will attempt to notify you by email and/or a prominent notice on the Assured website of any change in ownership and the choices you may have regarding your Personal Information
- To courts and public authorities to protect you, Assured or third parties from harm, including fraud or instances where somebody’s physical safety is at risk
- Service providers acting on Assured’s behalf shall be obliged to adhere to confidentiality requirements no less protective than those set forth herein and will only receive access to your Personal Data as necessary to perform their functions
- We, also, perform statistical analysis of the users of our Services to improve the content, design and navigation and our other products and services. In these cases, we use aggregate or statistical data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you
Age Limitations
We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from minors under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected the Personal Information of a minor under 18 years old, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.
Third-Party Websites
Assured may, also, provide social media features, such as buttons on LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter that enable you to share information with your social networks to interact with Assured on various social media websites. Your use of these features may result in the collection or sharing of information about you depending on each specific social media website. This may include your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our site. Your interactions with these features are governed by the Privacy Policy of the company providing it.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Assured and our partners (e.g., marketing partners, analytics, advertising, or service providers) use various tracking technologies, such as cookies, beacons, tags and scripts to analyze trends on our Services, administer our Services, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual, as well as, aggregated basis. For more information, please see our Cookie Policy. Our website currently does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals from browsers.
Behavioural Targeting/ReTargeting
We rely on a third-party services provider to either display advertising on our websites or to manage our advertising on other sites. This services provider may use technologies, such as cookies to gather information about your activities on our websites and other sites, in order to provide you with advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to not have this information used for the purpose of serving you interest-based ads, you may opt-out. Please note this does not opt you out of being served ads. Protection of Personal Information
Assured takes reasonable and appropriate precautions — including administrative, technical, and physical measures — to safeguard your Personal Information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
We follow generally accepted standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both, during transmission and once we receive it.
Integrity and Retention of Personal and Other Information
Assured provides procedures for you to keep your Personal Information accurate, complete, and up-to-date. We will retain your Personal Information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Assured may retain Other Information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations,, conduct audits, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
We retain customer data and credentials up to 365 days following account termination unless deletion is requested earlier.
We retain website visitor information in accordance with retention periods stated in our Cookie Policy.
Access to Personal Information
You can help ensure that your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up to date by contacting us via email or post using the information in the “Contacting Us” section of this policy. For other Personal Information, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access, so you can request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate or delete the data if Assured is not required to retain it by law, or for legitimate business purposes. We will respond to your request within 30 days or sooner where required by law. As permitted by applicable law, we may decline to process requests where the data is required to be retained by law, required for legitimate business purposes, or jeopardizes the privacy of others.
Our Companywide Commitment to Your Privacy
To make sure your Personal Information is secure, we communicate our privacy and security guidelines to Assured employees and strictly enforce privacy safeguards within the company.
Privacy Policy Updates
Assured may update its Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our information practices. When we change the policy in a material way, we will provide you with notice via email, through posting an updated version of the Privacy Policy on our Services prior to the changes coming into effect, as required by applicable law. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices. If you disagree with the changes to this Privacy Policy, you should cease interacting with our Services. In such case, contact us if you wish to request the removal of your Personal Information under our control.
Identifying the Data Controller and Processor
Data protection law in certain jurisdictions differentiates between the “Controller” and “Processor” of information. In general, Customer is the controller of Service Data. In general, Assured is the Processor of Service Data and the Controller of Other Information.
International Data Transfers
Assured may in certain situations transfer your Personal Data to countries other than the one in which you live – generally, from locations outside the United States to the United States. Assured deploys the following safeguards if transfers Personal Data from jurisdictions with differing data protection laws:
European Union Model Clauses
Assured offers European Union Model Clauses also known as Standard Contractual Clauses, to meet the adequacy and security requirements for our customers that operate in the EEA, Switzerland, and the UK and for other international transfers of data as relevant. Data Privacy Framework (DPF)
Assured adheres to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (EU-US DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-US DPF, and the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-US DPF) as set forth by the US Department of Commerce, adheres to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework Principles (EU-US DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of Personal Data received from the European Union and the United Kingdom (and Gibraltar) in reliance on the EU-US DPF and the UK Extension to it. In compliance with the EU-US DPF, the UK Extension, and the Swiss-US DPF, Assured commits to resolve DPF Principles-related complaints about our collection and use of your Personal Information. Data Subject Rights
Individuals located in certain US States such as California, and in the European Economic Area countries, have certain statutory rights in relation to their Personal Data. Subject to any exemptions provided by law, you may have the right to request access to Information (in a portable form or otherwise), as well as to seek to update, delete or correct this Information. Where possible and as outlined in this Privacy Policy, you can request to limit your use and disclosure of this Information. In addition, if Personal Data is to be used for a new purpose that is materially different than what it was collected or authorized for, Assured will communicate that and allow you to choose to have your Personal Data so used or disclosed. Any requests to opt-out of such uses or disclosures, as well as requests to exercise your privacy rights, can be submitted to us in writing using the details available in the “Contacting Us” section of this policy.
Your California Privacy Rights
This section provides additional details regarding Personal Information Assured collects about consumers residing in California and their rights under the California Privacy Rights Act extension to the California Consumer Privacy Act “CCPA”.
Subject to certain limitations, the CCPA provides California consumers the right to request to know more details about the categories or specific pieces of Personal Information Assured collects (including how Assured uses and disclose this information), to delete their Personal Information, correct their Personal Information that may be occurring, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Please note, Assured does not collect sensitive Personal Information as defined under the CCPA.
Under the CCPA, sharing your data through third party Cookies for online advertising may be considered a “sale” or “share” of information, to which you have the right to opt out. You can opt out of these activities by following the instructions in this section.
We may “sell” or share your Personal Data, such as usage information or cookie information to the following categories of third parties:
- Ad Networks
- Analytics providers
- Marketing providers
We have “sold” or shared the Personal Data for the following purposes:
- Improving the Services, including testing, research, internal analytics and product development
- Showing you advertisements, including interest-based or online behavioral advertising
You have the right to opt-out of the “sale” or sharing of your Personal Data. You can opt-out using the following methods:
- Accessing your Cookie consent settings on our website
- By implementing the Global Privacy Control or similar control that is legally recognized by a government agency or industry standard and that complies with the CCPA. The signal issued by the control must be initiated by your browser and applies to the specific device and browser you use at the time you cast the signal
Once you have submitted an opt-out request, we will not ask you to reauthorize the sale of your Personal Data for at least 12 months.
To our knowledge, we do not sell the Personal Data of minors under 18 years of age.

In addition, you have the right to data portability, which allows you to receive from us Personal Data about you which you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and the right to transmit, such Personal Data to another entity without hindrance from us.
You have the right to object to various data processing activities, including processing activities that are based exclusively on your consent or processing for the purposes of direct marketing. You can exercise such rights by accessing the information in your account and/or by emailing [email protected]. Please note that these rights may be subject to limitations and conditions under the UK GDPR or applicable national data protection laws.
With respect to web cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary for our provision of the Services, Assured seeks consent from users of the Service in the UK based on our Cookie Policy.
If you have provided consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary or other data processing, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
You are not required to provide any Personal Data to Assured, but if you do not provide it, you may not be able to use our Services or conduct business with us effectively. You can use our Services without consenting to cookies that are not strictly necessary; the only consequence is that our Services will be less tailored to you.

As of May 25, 2018, European Union Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data (“EU GDPR” and “UK GDPR”), requires us as the data controller of the Services to provide additional and different information about our data processing practices to data subjects in the European Economic Area (“EEA”), including UK. Legal Basis of Processing
The legal basis for Assured’s processing of your Personal Data in connection with our Services is Article 6(1)(b) of the EU GDPR, which allows processing of Personal Data as necessary for the performance of a contract. When you access, use or register for our Services, you form a contract with Assured based on the applicable terms of service, and we need to process your Personal Data to respond to your requests, provide our Services and satisfy our obligations with respect to the other purposes listed in the Privacy Policy above.
Assured also relies on your consent with respect to cookies that are not strict necessary and direct marketing emails per Article 6(1)(a) of the EU GDPR; and pursues legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the EU GDPR with respect to situations where Assured needs to process your Personal Data to comply with applicable laws provide good customer service or improve our products and services. Data Retention
Assured keeps Personal Data as long as required to provide our Services to you and comply with applicable laws.
