Job Summary:

 

As a Commercial Sales Engineer at Assured Data Protection, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales efforts by providing technical leadership and expertise throughout the pre-sales process. You will work closely with our Commercial Account Executives, partners, and customers to design and present tailored data protection and recovery solutions that align with our customers’ business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Technical Leadership:
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on Assured Data Protection’s managed services and product suite, including data protection, file systems, cloud data management, and disaster recovery solutions.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, addressing technical requirements and challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Solution Design and Development:
    • Analyze customer needs and design integrated data protection solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
    • Create solution architecture and pricing models in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Sales Support:
    • Lead technical workshops, product demonstrations, and presentations to customer technical teams and senior management.
    • Qualify sales opportunities by assessing technical requirements, competitive landscape, decision-making processes, and budgets.
  • Collaboration and Engagement:
    • Build strong relationships with account teams, partners, and customers to support sales objectives.
    • Leverage internal resources and corporate expertise to drive sales success.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer or similar technical pre-sales role, ideally in software, data protection, primary storage, or data center environments.
  • Expertise in cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, and data analytics.
  • Proven ability to engage with C-level executives and translate technical capabilities into business value.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic and a ‘get-it-done’ attitude.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
